Your path & gate are just perfect because they're not exactly perfect. I figure a home of that age has earned the right to h 2Aave things as they want - I have a Victorian home which has very definite ideas of how it wants to be - who am I to argue with it??
I don't know how I missed this post, Becky - I think maybe I read half of it on my phone because I remember thinking how lovely the cottage looks! Your garden looks so pretty - I have been at my parents' house a lot recently, and every time I'm in the garden I think about how there isn't an inch of it that I haven't dug up (it was a new house, and the garden was just a sea of mud), and I so remember laying a path with bits of local stone dug up from someone's land!
I’m sure you had rather a lot going on recently Louise! Ah really? It’s back breaking (or rather knee breaking) work isn’t it but we’re so happy with the result!
I don’t know how I did all that garden construction (with my dad’s help), but it is a fair-sized garden on four different levels, and there was zero budget - and, most pertinently, I was in my 20s!
